Harper Aitken

Harper died on the 8th of March 2019, aged 3 years. She had a rash and a high temperature of 41.5°. She was taken to hospital in an ambulance but was discharged due to having perking up, playing, asking for food and water. She also had diarrhea and doctor put it down to a tummy bug. She seemed on the mend the next day but her lips went blue and bruises appeared. I was advised to take her to the GP.

She collapsed at the surgery was given a shot of penicillin and came round again. We got another ambulance to hospital but sadly 2 hours later as doctors tried to put her in a coma, her heart stopped. She was never revived. I lost my beautiful daughter to sepsis all within 34 hours. She was healthy until that day she took a fever, strep a was found in her throat. (Sepsis and Group A Strep) A simple infection turned into sepsis. Our hearts are broken and I relive her death everyday.

My beautiful Daughter Harper Aitken was born 19th June 2015 and died 8th March 2019 , she was such a fiesty character so full of life and knew her own mind from such a young age. She loved animals, playing outside, getting mucky and dancing. She was close to her big brother Cayden despite their 8 and a half years age gap, he is lost without his baby sister as are we all. She lit up our world and kept us on our toes, the world is just not the same without her in it.
