The stories here have been shared by sepsis survivors and by those who loved them. The goal is to educate the public about sepsis and how it affects those who have sepsis and their families. It also provides people with the opportunity to write their story. It’s often the first time they have really thought about what happened and where they are now. Survivors share their experiences of how they became ill, their treatment, and their road to recovery, and loved ones share stories of loss. Some stories end on a positive note, but some paint a picture of the difficult road that many sepsis survivors face.
Please note that the stories and opinions posted in the Faces of Sepsis are those solely of the authors and contributors of the stories. They do not reflect the opinions of Sepsis Alliance, its employees, contractors, or volunteers.
