Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Welcome to the Sepsis Alliance COVID-19 information page.

Do you have questions about COVID-19 and how it relates to sepsis? There is still a lot of information going around about COVID-19 but there is still much that is not understood. We now have several vaccines, three of which are available in the United States, but as vaccinations progress, more variants of the virus that causes COVID-19 are appearing. And while we still don’t understand a lot about the virus and how to treat it, we do know that COVID-19, like any type of infection, can and does cause viral sepsis in some people.

We will update this page as new information becomes available. Please check back regularly and share our news and resources with others who may find it useful.

We have also created a discharge kit for those being released from the hospital after COVID-19. Download the guide here.
