Tribute

My grandma lost her life to septic shock due to negligent care after a simple hernia surgery. (Sepsis and Surgery)

Something was wrong, had I known about sepsis before I could’ve gotten proper help. She was in so much pain. She knew she was dying.

She spent the last week of her life on life support as doctors tried everything they could, but it was too late. Her body was shutting down.

Even though she was still in there, she recognized me and answered yes/no questions at one point. She was trapped.

Ultimately they just couldn’t keep her blood pressure up even on all the meds and at that point, she was terminal. She passed 24 hours later.

Surgeon said had she been seen even one day sooner, she’d have survived. Say sepsis. Save lives!
