I had a kidney stone that was taken out. The doctor put a stint in for draining. After is was taken out within a few days I started filling bad. In the middle of the night I felt like I was coming down with the flu. (Sepsis and Kidney Stones) Started aching around my shoulders.

The next morning, I asked my sister who was staying with me at the time if she would stay out of work and take care of me and my special needs son. She took me to a first care unit, and they said my white blook cell count was 26,000. I was then taken to a hospitals ER where they ran more test. All I remember is looking up and seeing my blood pressure was 80 over 40. I heard something about ICU.

I was in there for some time. I became delusional. I thought people were outside trying to decide what to do with me. I started throwing ice at the door to get someone’s attention. Nurse came in and saw that I was delusional, and I was out of there within a few hours. It took me quite a few months to get my strength back. My MD told me the hospital had to use vasopressors because my blood pressure was so low. I still think about it a lot.
