Hello to everyone, my story begins Jan 2024 after I had full hysterectomy surgery. (Sepsis and Surgery) They sent me home with the catheter in my bladder which gave me a UTI. (Sepsis and Urinary Tract Infections) I was given antibiotics but obviously it wasn’t caught in time before invading my bloodstream and organs.

A few days later my sister rushed me to the ER and demanded I was seen immediately. I was lethargic, weak, in pain, eyes yellow, 103 temp, very delusional. Immediately they started running tests, etc., and was told I had sepsis. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital with 3 days being in ICU which I have no memory of. At one point my kidneys started failing, my BP was low, they couldn’t get my temp down, breathing was shallow. We were told I had severe sepsis which I had never heard of.

It wasn’t looking good but thank God, hospital staff and the awesome doctors because I’m still here and recovering well. I’m under the care of an oncologist because a lot of my blood tests are abnormal but other than that I’m doing good. My sisters, sons and mom has been my biggest supporters!
