On March 30, 2023 I went in for a hysterectomy. Surgery was hoping it was going to be partial end up being a full hysterectomy. During the surgery, they said that when they started, they realized that I had an infection, but I was perfectly fine after four days in the hospital. (Sepsis and Surgery)
On April 8, I was rushed back to the hospital. I was in so much pain. I couldn’t hold food in. I couldn’t barely talk. I couldn’t barely walk, barely move when I got to the hospital. They told my husband and my parents, thank God that I came in an ambulance and that they did not bring me by car by themselves. If not, I would’ve not have made it. At that very moment, found out that I had gotten septic shock . Landed me in the hospital for more than 40 days over six blood transfusion and I am so thankful to God that I am here today to share my story to others who are not familiar with sepsis and what it means in how dangerous it can be.
I am a sepsis survivor . Still today I suffer some pattern as far as walking hurts once in a while my nerves are very bad. I seem to do things a little slower and I was 46 years old when this happened two years ago.. I’m feeling better everyday. Thank you !
