Hello, my name is Victoria. I’m 21 years old. My father passed February 1, 2015.

I was watching over him and spending time with him. My dad liked to drink because of depression. Four years prior he had brain surgery to remove blood clots. One Friday afternoon I found him gasping, delusional, and shirtless.

I called the paramedics and three hours later I came to the hospital when I arrived. I was notified that my father had pneumonia. (Sepsis and pneumonia) I spoke to him and that was it.

Saturday they claimed that his breathing was becoming troubled and he was on a breathing tube. Saturday afternoon they informed me that he developed sepsis. The doctor didn’t explain what it really was and I was so caught up in the moment I did no research.

Sunday morning his pulse stopped. I wasn’t able to make it then, but he was revived. His pulse stopped three times Sunday. The last time he was code blue.
