Taylor Conley
Survivor

Hello my name is Taylor Conley. I am a survivor with a very interesting tale. On Tuesday April 2, 2018, I suffered through an awful miscarriage. (Sepsis and Pregnancy & Childbirth) I was early enough that I could stay at home with minimal risk, so I did. By Friday I noticed something was wrong. I felt like I had the flu and I never get sick, but I decided to push on despite the warning signs. Sunday morning I woke up feeling better. An hour after waking up, I had a temperature of 103 and was throwing up blood. So I drove myself to the closest hospital. They immediately took me to triage and I fainted before they even got me in a chair. Not once did they tell me I was septic. Even when I was in the ICU with a 105 fever but sure as hell it was on my discharge papers. No one explained how I would feel in the following months or the risks I now have. Well after those four days of utter hell, I was so bad I was praying for a quick death, I just found out my baby had a hidden twin. So I’m about three months along with a little miracle baby but still struggling to understand sepsis and the death of the other twin.
