Tamika H.

Survivor

I had sepsis in 2014 due to an ulcer. I couldn’t walk so I went to the hospital. My pulse kept dropping. I was admitted and put in ICU. I was put into a medically induced coma. I was in a coma for three weeks. During this time I had breathing problems, nine dialysis treatments, and diabetes. I went to a rehab for one month. I was in the hospital for a total of two months. My organs restored themselves and my blood sugar went back to normal. I had to learn to walk all over again. My sense of smell is gone. I sometimes have trouble concentrating and remembering things.
