Susan Wallace

Survivor

After a complete physical in September of 2017, started feeling weaker and experienced a downward spiral until kidneys failed and I could not concentrate, eat or function. Was admitted to hospital and went through weeks of torment during treatment but survived. Was so weak that I needed much equipment and care at home. Had a year of physical therapy to regain strength and stamina. The cause of the infection was never able to be definitively ascertained. Am very grateful to doctors and nurses for excellent care that brought me back from two near death experiences. Sepsis is a shock to every facet of body and mind. I will never be the same but am grateful to “be”.
