Survivor

I was admitted to the hospital 8/13/16 because my stomach blew up to look 9 months pregnant. I was unresponsive, so when I made it to the hospital I was in complete organ shutdown. My bowel was ischemic, my gallbladder was double in size, my stomach pain was unbearable. With the help of God guiding my amazing surgery, I’m a walking miracle! I wasn’t expected to be strong enough to breath without the help of a ventilator. I was expected to need dialysis the rest of my life, possibly have to wear an ileostomy bag the rest of my life. BUT THAT’S NOT WHAT HAPPENED TO ME!

I’m thinking of what could of happened. I now understand I had to fight for my life! No one could do this for me. I have an amazing family support system though which needed to give me pushes now and again. Now am at my goal weight, exercising nearly everyday, thanks to my new pet that won’t let me have a walk free day EVER! I AM CONSISTENTLY GETTING STRONGER! I thank my heavenly father for this. Without Him I cannot do anything! Don’t allow yourself to give up! I have a great husband, with adult children I will never know to repay them. It looks like I may see many of my grandchildren grow up. Who knows, if it’s God’s will to meet my great-grandchildren! Fight for your life and realize how others will miss you. Trust in God for peace that only you will find in Him!
