I’m alive! After 1.5 months in the hospital and 1.5 months in a recovery center, I’m home with my loving wife that has been just fantastic. I am 57 years old and had been healthy and active all my life. I had a cold that wouldn’t go away that eventually turned into pneumonia. (Sepsis and Pneumonia) I would give my wife the standard male answer whenever told to go to the doctor, ” I’m fine, I’ll be O.K.”

Wow what a lesson learned. When someone who cares says go to the doctor, GO! One morning while talking I just fell over and that was the beginning of hell for me. I don’t remember 1 thing, not 1, at the hospital even though I’ve been told I would talk and interact with doctors and friends, family too. I recall bad dreams and have a hard time remembering stupid little things like passwords, phone numbers and names. The pain is different every day, good days and really bad ones. I hate taking all these meds now, never had to before.Questions, how long will I be in pain? Will my memory return? Will I be able to walk normally again? Will I get my muscles back? Stay tuned.
