Admitted to hospital with suspected kidney infection and flu. (Sepsis and Bacterial Infections, Sepsis and Influenza) I was in there for 8 weeks and only woke up for the last 2. I had horrendous nightmares and dreams some of which I can remember vividly, but have no memory of ‘awake times’, no memory of visitors or any action on the various wards I was on until the last 2 weeks.

I came home and received tremendous support from all the local agencies from personal care to shopping. I have been working really hard at developing my strength, eating sensible food,  drinking loads of water and nothing else.

I thought I was doing really well until I realised my hair was/is falling out and I am devastated. I don’t know where to turn to and how to pay for wigs et, but I will have get to grips with this issue as I am determined to be healthy and look good for my son’s wedding in August. (Sepsis and Post-Sepsis Syndrome)
