Tribute

My mother, who suffered from mental illness for years, was diagnosed later in life.

My mother who made birthdays special for all.

My mother who taught her 3 children to not tolerate bully behavior.

My mom who made dinner every day at 6:00.

My mom who made everyone laugh while she suffered in silence with depression, gave all she had to any stranger that needed food, a ride somewhere, or just a friend.

My mom had a way to make you feel better on your worst day.

My mom was left to sit for 7 hours in an emergency room to be judged as unworthy of care that could have saved her life because of her history. They ordered morphine for her abdominal pain and did not read her CT- 7 hours later she was sent to REGULAR hospital bed, only for the hospitalist to send her to the ICU . Moments later she was intubated- hours later she died. Ignored.
