Linda Trigueros

Tribute

Linda was born with cystic fibrosis, and was sick for 18 years. (Sepsis and Cystic Fibrosis) Linda was going to be approved for a double lung transplant at age of 7 or 8, but showed improvement so doctors hesitated. At that time she was positive for MRSA, and aspergillus. She carried on but not normal she was bed ridden, and was able to go to work, since she had just turned 18 she stopped working and was applying for SSI on her own. Yet, she became ill, we thought a normal hospitalization was due, which she did 3-12 times a year her whole life. Within 48 hours she went from regular oxygen tube, to a canula, to bipap, to a full face mask in 24 hrs. Her BP was 68/40 something. She was dying before my eyes due to sepsis. She was in ICU for 42 days, that have forever changed my life and view of the world. She had CF her whole life and though we were survivors, this hospitalization was so traumatic, that I cant think about with out feeing likes its day 1 again.

Linda was a Kidds Kidd, A Children’s honoree in 2005/2006 Neimun Marcus parade, a “Superstar” of Night of Superstars 2017, our family was a poster family for Blue Caboose, she was a Make a Wish Kind and have it granted when she was 10 or 11 she was 18 years old, a sassy pants known as our Ladybug due to many encounters when she was young, she eventually grew out it and was over it…but she was a teenager that was dying and had accepted she would die. She was an old soul, and when you met her she impacted you and left her mark. She had one tattoo a cactus. I think she was much like this plant because if you got to close she would stick you with her sassy personality.

Thank you for letting me share, there is so much more I can write about, the years blend now that I am older and grief has set in my life.
