My deal in a summary:

Had MRSA, was given the wrong treatment
MRSA kept returning
Became allergic to the medication (Bactrim)and had hives. Went to follow up at my PCP and doctor looked at my lesion.
Was told it looked good so it should be ok.
Had a sore hip want to ER in pain and had blood cultures taken, due to my MRSA history and a low grade temp.
Was sent home and told to stay off that hip and would have results in a couple days.
Returned to ER because I began to throw up and pain was unbearable.
Had a CAT scan. Was sent home again.
Monday I want to my PCP and told them about the weekend.
She was prescribing meds for the pain but called ER to see what the CAT scan results were.
She came to my room and told me that my blood culture was positive meaning I had a blood infection.
Went over and checked in to hospital.
Did more blood work and started me on an IV medication called zosan. Well I had allergic reaction to that as well. Was confirmed MRSA in my blood.
Couldn’t breath e,was in and out and everything is so gray.

This is what I was told that happen:
I got pneumonia and it turned into ARDS.
Kidneys started to decline.
Was intubated and sent to another hospital (hospital #2).
Was in a coma at this time.
Kept getting worse, was checked for toxic shock syndrome (TSS) and fever spiked to 105.
Family was called to talk about the last chance choice called ECMO.
Was sent to a bigger hospital (#3) for ECMO.
Was on that for a week while my lungs healed and I was on insulin drip, And some others that I don’t know.
Was coming close to a trach but I started to breathe on my own when they pulled the tube, all on my husband’s birthday.
This all took place between August 25 – Sept 14.
So now waking up begins. Everything thing is foggy and I want to know where my son is. My niece that was a newborn can now sit up.
Left side is soooo weak and I can’t feel my left foot.
MRI was done and they find a hematoma on my left hip and it’s on the nerve branch coming out of between L4 and L5.
Bingo that’s where it all was hiding.
Now in vancomycin IV for 45 days.
Learned to sit up then sit up alone and my arms got to moving again.
Want to the rehab floor and oh my had to learn to walk again but my left foot wasn’t responding.
Diagnosed with drop foot and had major PT and OT
Was released to go home day before my birthday on October 13.
I’m sure I may have missed stuff but I guess it’s it in a nutshell.
