My mother went in for surgery on 9/3/24 for a colostomy reversal laparoscopically. At 10:00 a.m. she was under anesthesia the doctor changed the procedure to open without informed consent on an elective procedure without an emergency present nor documented in the medical records.

My mom began having fever and tachycardia on 9/5/24. She has a documented history of sepsis. My mother did not receive antibiotics until 9/8/24 by the time she received them, sepsis had taken over. She died 9/23/24.
