Christine Rinehart

Survivor

March 29, 2013 I had surgery. On April 1, 2013 I had emergency surgery due to complications. On April 2, 2013 I was diagnosed with sepsis. I experienced respiratory failure, kidney failure as well as numerous surgeries. I spent a month in a medically induced coma in the ICU. From there I spent two weeks at specialized care hospital. Lastly I spent ten days at a local rehabilitation hospital. I was finally discharged on May 25, 2013. All total, I was hospitalized for nearly two months. My recovery was long and difficult. By the grace of God and the excellent medical care that I received and I am a sepsis survivor! I have some short term memory loss and other issues due to so many abdominal surgeries. But, I can’t complain….I am grateful and lucky to be alive! 😊
