Carol Steward

Survivor

January 2018 I was admitted to the hospital in excruciating pain after being given morphine and transported to Tulsa. I wasn’t really sure what was going on until a few days later. I was told I have sepsis, a mass on my ovary and my left kidney was failing. I was there 13 days. After I was released, and returned for one of many follow-ups, was I told that I wasn’t expected to make it out of the hospital alive; I was a miracle as I was in bad shape when I was admitted. It’s been a little over a year and I tire easily, but am thankful I am alive.
