Bry’on W.
After 2 days of a surgical abortion I began to feel my body shut down as Valentines Day passed this past year. (Sepsis and Pregnancy & Childbirth) Within days I wouldn’t be able to walk not knowing sepsis was taking over my body. I was rushed to surgery after I was told placenta was left in my body, which caused an infection to spread. After 5 days of no progress and my life being questioned the doctors rushed me to get a hysterectomy to save my life.
I survived through it all but the loss of being able to carry a child at 32 will stick with me forever, but being a survivor of sepsis has changed me forever. I’m able to still be a mother to my son Kingston and share my story letting others know they aren’t alone and I’m still affected but blessed to still be here.
