I was at home and started to get cold. I started to shiver and put two wool blankets on to get warm. I started to shake and my daughter took me to the emergency room.

I was admitted and sent me on a gurney for a CT scan. When I was ready for the scan, I started to have a seizure and could not stop shaking. Two orderlies had to hold me down.

I was rushed back to the ER and was put on oxygen. I started to turn blue and my daughter got the doctor. I was given many different antibiotics and afterwards, I was out of the woods. My heart beat was 38 to 40 beats per minute. The cardiologist tried paddles four different times to get my heart in normal rhythm. I was diagnosed with A Fib and had to have a pace maker put in. I was also put on blood pressure medicine.

My family doctor said I was diagnosed with sepsis. Not sure to this day how I ever contracted this disease. Hope this will help someone not to delay if they have similar conditions.
