In early August 2017 I was having bouts of intestinal discomfort that appeared to be a stomach virus. After two weeks of on again off again symptoms I went to a clinic and was prescribed antibiotics in case it was a bacterial infection. This seemed to work and fast forward to October 14th 2017. I woke up feeling extremely tired and had zero energy.

On October 15th I was experiencing a mild fever and muscle aches, so I figured I had picked up a virus. A few days later I had severe diarrhea so I assumed a stomach virus. As days went by I would feel better and then all of a sudden have vomiting and diarrhea. I felt very dehydrated and went to the clinic again and was told I had a virus and it would go away. To make a long story short, I went to the ER as I KNEW something serious was going on but was sent home after an IV because “it was a virus.”

I returned to the ER a few days later and the blood tests and CT scan revealed inflamed bowel and kidneys not functioning properly. The ER doctor admitted me and started me on some serious IV antibiotics. I was tested for everything and they never could narrow down what had caused my sepsis but 5 days in the hospital and antibiotics saved me. I have been out for about 5 weeks and am finally getting my strength back and that seems to be only after effect. When something is wrong make the doctors hear you and do something!!!!!!! I am a healthy male with NO medical conditions and this nearly killed me.
