Arika Thibodeaux

Survivor

Our daughter Arika has survived sepsis twice. First time was from an infection most likely UTI. (Sepsis and Urinary Tract Infections) She came home after 6 months in the hospital with a tracheostomy. It actually helped save her life the second time with pancreatitis. We have been told sepsis will eventually take her from us but we don’t give up. We have learned to look for the signs of it starting and get help immediately. We are parents that will forever hate sepsis and what it does.
