Linda R.

Survivor

I had 3 molars which had all been treated several times for decay and infection. In July 2016, the re-infected 3 teeth formed a bubble inside my skull. I had fevers of 103 degrees, almost daily. I was kept on antibiotics for more than 1 month, the 3 teeth were extracted, all at once. I was kept home from work for 4 days and on bed rest.

I returned to work, after feeling better. Two weeks after extractions I was driving home from work and felt ill, nausea, abdominal cramps, dizziness, intra-skull drainage, chills, confusion, loss of control of the car and other ailments. (Sepsis and Dental Health) I turned quickly to a local hospital for the ER. I was taken in, immediately and placed on fluids and watched continuously. Later in the night, I lost vision in 1 eye for more than 30 minutes. I was give a CAT scan and kept over night in the ER. I was released with more antibiotics and told to call the dentist asap.

I had a 2nd CAT scan in January, 2017, due to severe pain over my right eye. So far, I am ok, but the experience was a learning one and very scary. I was circling the drain, for sure.
