I went in septic shock on the 13th of February this year. After dinner that evening, I felt very tired and a moment later I started shaking, I thought I had a bad flu. I went to bed that night, and sleep badly.

I went downstairs and fell a sleep on the couch. My son saw me that morning and made some coffee for me, and went to school. At midday, my ex-wife came by and asked me what I had. I told her I have a flu. She did not believe that and called our doctor.

I went to the doctor. He told me that I had a pneumonia and a very low blood pressure, so he send me to the hospital. (Sepsis and Pneumonia) They placed me directly in the ICU and then they put me into an artificial coma for 3 days. After a week, They placed me on the lung unit, where I stayed for 2 weeks. They removed surgical a lung abcess and on the 6th of March, I went home.

I am at work at 75 percent and soon it will be 100 percent. I work hard on my fitness now under the supervision of a physiotherapist. Fortunately, I was within 24 hours of being treated so that the damage to my body remained low.

All in all, a bad experience. I’m worried that I did not see it coming, and still concerns me. Thank you for letting me tell my story.
