Shion Chang

ASPR Project Supervisor

Shion joined Sepsis Alliance in November 2021 bringing over a decade of public policy, regulatory affairs, government relations, and coalition building experience to the organization. He is incredibly excited to join the Sepsis Alliance team and help advance the mission of saving lives and reducing suffering by improving sepsis awareness and care.

Prior to joining Sepsis Alliance, Shion was with the National Community Pharmacists Association where he worked primarily on responding to the COVID-19 public health emergency. He also previously worked with the Infectious Diseases Society of America, where his portfolio included a wide range of issues including antimicrobial resistance and antibiotic product development, biomedical workforce issues, immunizations and vaccines, and pandemic preparedness and response.

Shion graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a B.A. in History, after which he earned an MPA from Virginia Tech’s Center for Public Administration and Policy as well as an MSPH with a concentration in global health from Southern New Hampshire University.

In his free time, you can find Shion with his wife traveling (especially by motorcycle), at the theater taking in a musical, or quietly at home reading a book with their two adopted, not-so-quiet, cats.
