Angela Worley

Hi my name is Angela. In August of 2023 I collapsed in my house and was unresponsive. My husband luckily was home and called 911. I woke up one month later without any recollection of what happened to me. My story is told by my family members who were told I had a 5% chance of surviving.

I was taken to the operating room, cut open and had gangrene due to septic shock because of my colon. After 2 surgeries and removal of all of my colon, gall bladder and appendix. Never knew anything about sepsis and now finding myself having to learn everything I can. Rehab was hell, couldn’t walk, talk write or eat. We need a vaccine to protect us from this killer.
