Tribute

My dad died of staph sepsis on November 8, 2012. Why can’t the doctors figure out this is what someone has BEFORE they are too far gone?

My dad was diagnosed and gone the same day. He had gone to the doctor two days before with fever and heavy nose bleeds. He was told there was nothing wrong with him as far as they knew. Other than that he was probably fighting off a cold. Blood cultures were taken when he went into emergency room, of course they take two to three days? He was gone that night.

I cannot believe we can send things to mars but we cannot diagnose staph or sepsis quick enough to save someone. My heart goes out to everyone who deals with this. My dad was 61 years old.
