Monica R. Robinson

Survivor

My story begain on the last week of August on a Wednesday. My name is Monica I’m a 38-year-old pre-school special education teacher. I went to work and afterwards went to Bible Study, came home, and ate. I took a shower and call it a night went to bed and that’s all I remember.

Two weeks in ICU and one more in a regular hospital room. I went home with a home health nurse, physical therapy and occupational therapy. Now I’ve been doing outpatient therapy for about a month, seeing my doctor every 3 weeks, and waiting to see a neurologist. I am trying to get my life back. My body has change but I have faith in God that I’ll get past this like any other illness that I’ve over come. I pray that whoever reads this is encouraged to keep on going and know that you’re not alone, God bless.
