Del Goorman

Tribute

My husband was a hospice COPD patient. He developed a sore on his shin that was the size of a pencil eraser and grew, pus filled, to the size of a golf ball. They kept dressing it twice a day for weeks and weeks Finally they decided to admit him for IV antibiotics because it wasn’t healing. They did all kinds of cultures. It was a holiday weekend.

Del stayed 4 days and they sent him home on a Monday morning. Tuesday morning, he woke up said he was very weak and was dying.

He immediately, literally, dropped dead. I never got any response back from anyone on his cultures and all they say is something drastic happened. Several weeks before, Del complained a lot of chills, his temperature was always low 36. I believe in the hospital they knew he was in full sepsis but seeing he was in final stages of CODP, they didn’t even try to heal him.
