Sepsis Awareness Month Proclamations Secured in 38 States – The Most of Any Year to Date

September 30, 2022

This September, advocates all across the U.S. renewed their efforts to get Sepsis Awareness Month proclamations made in every state – and the results were incredible: 38 state proclamations were secured this year! That is more than double the number of proclamations secured last year, and more than in any year to date since the national Sepsis Awareness Month observance first began in 2011.

This progress is all thanks to you. This Sepsis Awareness Month, the Sepsis Alliance advocacy community – which includes survivors, loved ones of those lost to sepsis, healthcare and industry professionals, and more – has clearly demonstrated that using our collective voices can bring about tangible results. Every state proclamation is a new opportunity to educate our elected officials, raise awareness in our communities, and make positive changes for those affected by this devastating condition. Thank you for your hard work this Sepsis Awareness Month!
