Sepsis Alliance Receives Matching Gift Pledge From Accelerate Diagnostics for #GivingTuesday

In an effort to accelerate sepsis awareness, Accelerate Diagnostics, Inc. will match the first $10,000 gifted to Sepsis Alliance on #GivingTuesday.
San Diego, California – Sepsis Alliance announced today that it is the recipient of a matching gift pledge from Accelerate Diagnostics. In support of #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration, Accelerate Diagnostics has offered to match the first $10,000 gifted to Sepsis Alliance.
#GivingTuesday falls on November 28th, the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, and kicks off the season of giving. In past years the movement has prompted nearly $200 million in charitable giving to various nonprofits in over 98 countries.

The matching gift challenge reinforces their dedication to saving lives through sepsis awareness. Sepsis is the third leading cause of death in the United States, yet only 58% of Americans even recognize the word “sepsis.” Contributions on #GivingTuesday, and the matching gift from Accelerate Diagnostics, will allow Sepsis Alliance to continue creating educational resources and materials to further raise awareness of sepsis, “So More Survive.”
