Sepsis Alliance Launches New Virtual Community

June 28, 2022

Sepsis Alliance is pleased to announce the launch of a new virtual support community designed for the millions of people affected by sepsis: Sepsis Alliance Connect

Each year, an estimated 1.4 million people survive sepsis and over 350,000 adults die from sepsis in the United States alone. Sepsis Alliance Connect is a place for these survivors, caregivers, loved ones, and people left behind after a sepsis death to come together. They will have the chance to share resources, insight, and encouragement about their sepsis experience and life after sepsis.

The main goal of Sepsis Alliance Connect is to connect those who have been impacted by this often isolating and frequently misunderstood condition. Members can take part in live and pre-recorded sessions, with new offerings each month. Topics will include:

  • Coping with life after sepsis or a sepsis death,
  • Managing mental health,
  • Adjusting to life after amputations.

Membership is free and open to anybody affected by sepsis. Sepsis Alliance Connect is launching with the support of a volunteer leadership community passionate about positively impacting the lives of those affected by sepsis.

Sepsis Alliance Connect is made possible due to support from generous individual contributors, and support from bioMérieux and LB Charitable Foundation.
