Webinar: Transitions of Care After Sepsis Hospitalization

August 18, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

  • « Sepsis Awareness Superhero Challenge
  • Sepsis Alliance Summit »

Date: August 18, 2021

Time: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM EDT / 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM PDT

Description:

Aggressive, early sepsis identification and treatment initiatives have decreased in-hospital mortality for patients with sepsis over the last two decades. However, management of sepsis survivors during the transition out of the hospital is complex, as patients frequently face persistent downstream effects of their illness. Dr. Taylor, a physician scientist with NIH-funding to study optimal strategies for post-sepsis care, will address what is known about the post-acute care needs of sepsis survivors and discuss evidence-based approaches to meet these needs.

Speaker:

Stephanie Taylor, MD, MS

Associate Professor of Internal Medicine, Atrium Health

RN CE Contact Hours available for nurses.
