Shannon Hale

Shannon Hale has over 20 years of healthcare experience, with a focus on quality improvement. Recognized as a thought leader in mortality improvement, Shannon leads mortality domain projects on the Vizient Member Networks PI Programs team, addressing issues such as sepsis, mortality review committees, and interhospital transfers.
Shannon also has extensive experience in healthcare quality leadership in areas such as regulatory, patient safety, and performance improvement. In 2015, he created the first-ever Carolinas HealthCare System (now Advocate Health) EMTALA Summit, offering both in-person and live-streamed sessions to more than 30 hospitals and clinics across the healthcare system.
Prior to joining Vizient, Shannon was Administrative Director for Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, NC, where he was responsible for overall system quality and operations, laboratory operations, a live-answer call center and a project management team for 32 outpatient cancer clinics in North and South Carolina.
Shannon has extensive speaking experience, presenting at national healthcare conferences as well as with bipartisan lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
