Lisa Anderson, PhD

Lisa Anderson joined Sepsis Alliance in 2018 to provide research support for the organization’s programs by tracking current medical research on sepsis. Lisa’s role has since expanded to grants management, including identifying funding opportunities, writing grant proposals, and tracking grant activity. Lisa also serves as program manager on the Federal contract that provided seed funding for the launch of The Sepsis Institute.
Lisa is a research scientist by training and has conducted original research in the areas of neuropharmacology, behavioral neuroscience, and animal models of neurological disorders, including Parkinson’s disease. Lisa received her B.A. in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University and her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from Brown University. She completed her postdoctoral training at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.
Lisa enthusiastically supports Sepsis Alliance and its mission to save lives by improving sepsis awareness and education among the public and healthcare providers.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, Dusty. She also likes to cook and bake for friends and family and to participate in a variety of fitness classes.
