Avia Sutton

Avia graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience and is now completing her second year MPH at Tuskegee University. After completing undergrad, she became a Registered Behavior Technician and works with children with autism. She is also conducting research surrounding women’s health and genetics. Her overall goal is to become a Genetic Counselor and from there earn her PhD in Neurogenetics.

Avia is excited to utilize her public health experience to gather research and provide support for Sepsis Alliance’s advocacy priorities. Including, advocating for state and national policy initiatives related to, sepsis guideline adherence, and other areas of focus for Sepsis Alliance.

Outside of school and working with her amazing client’s you can find her creating delicious dishes, reading, or watching anime. Avia also being a former rower in undergrad loves heavy lifting and can also be found working hard in the gym.
