Sepsis In Older Adults

Tuesday, December 18th at 2 PM ET/ 11 AM PT

People over 65 years old, particularly those who have health issues, are more susceptible to sepsis than any other group. While they only make up about 12% of the American population, they make up 65% of sepsis cases in the hospitals. This webinar will discuss the pre-acute phase from symptom onset to diagnosis and associated patient and caregiver experiences with symptom appraisal, self-management, barriers, and interpersonal interactions.

Sepsis Alliance Wins Three Platinum
& Three Gold MarCom Awards

Sepsis Alliance won two Platinum MarCom Awards for Sepsis: First Response, an educational video for first responders, in the Training and Medical categories. We also won a third Platinum Award for It’s About TIMETM , a national public awareness campaign, in the category of Pro Bono Campaign.

The MarCom Awards is among the world’s most respected competitions honoring excellence in marketing and communication. Only 17% of the over 6,500 entries this year received Platinum Awards, the top award level.

It’s About TIMETM also took home three Gold MarCom Awards! Congratulations to our partners at Synapse Productions and Spectrum Science!

Welcome James Guliano to our Advisory Board

James currently leads the Ohio Hospital Association’s Statewide Sepsis Initiative in which 125 Ohio hospitals participate in efforts aimed at decreasing statewide sepsis mortality. To read more about James, click here.
