May - Advocating for Mothers and Birthing People

In May, we turn our focus to maternal sepsis, a leading cause of maternal death around the world. Too many lives are lost, and too many survivors face long recoveries, simply because the signs of sepsis go unrecognized or unaddressed.

Maternal Sepsis Week (May 10-16, 2025) is a time to raise awareness, demand change, and take action to protect mothers and birthing people before, during, and after childbirth.

This month, we advocate for better education, stronger protocols, and a healthcare system that listens and responds. Together, we can save lives.
