Back in September of 2022 I started feeling sick which honestly just felt like flu-like symptoms. I didn’t think anything of it besides just being sick. I started just taking over the counter medication hoping it would stop. However, I know I got sepsis through bacteria from open wounds from my MMA gym I go to. (Sepsis and Bacterial Infections) I should’ve taken care of it sooner when my wounds wouldn’t heal correctly and my body temperature kept constantly changing. When I finally went to the hospital I was diagnosed with sepsis and was told that I had a very ... Read Full Story

I met my husband Juan in 2012 we were married in 2013. I knew he was diabetic because he shared that with me. He also had a few toes amputated on his feet due to his diabetes. He said I was fortunate I got to the hospital when I did. I was treated with Lilly Pharmaceutical’s most powerful drug at the time. After four days on IV drips, I was sent home but had to continue daily IV treatment ... Read Full Story

About a couple weeks ago (currently the 17th of July) I was sent to the ER to find out I had a 8MM kidney stone, after blood work they had taken a different tone. I wasn’t aware I had sepsis until the second day in the hospital, they wanted to keep me calm until I had my surgeries. (Sepsis and Kidney Stones) My nurses and doctors were fantastic I am incredibly thankful they were so attentive and so kind when I was at my worst.
