Shelby Kirby

I had a hysterectomy on 11/20/25. On 11/27/25 I checked in ER due to feeling sick. I couldn’t breath. I had a headache. I was losing oxygen. I felt so bad I was dizzy.
When I arrived at the hospital they did x-ray, CT scan, blood work the whole thing – said I had pneumonia. (Sepsis and Surgery, Sepsis and Pneumonia) So I got antibiotics and then I left after 5-day stay.
I went back 2 weeks later and I really couldn’t function. I passed out and was taken to the back where they did everything all over again and come to find out the pneumonia didn’t go away in fact my body went into septic shock. They had to immediately intubate me. I was not good I felt like I was gonna die. It’s so scary. Long story short, I finally am released and I’m still having headaches and sleeping issues and it’s hard to concentrate and fatigue is awful but I know it takes time. I’m just truly blessed I know my body and I went in.
