Michael Foley
My name is Michael and I live in Los Angeles, CA. I’m an EXTREMELY LUCKY survivor of septicemia (sepsis). On Fri. Nov. 6, 2006, it started with dizziness, fever, high pulse rate (267), low blood pressure (60/10). I had continuous vomiting, diarrhea, and difficulty breathing.
My doctor, who came to the hospital, didn’t think I was going to make it through the night. Right now i have a lot of cognitive problems, difficulty carrying a conversation, constant pain in my arm and legs and I have had pneumonia 3 times since having sepsis. I have blurred vision and I’m PETRIFIED of getting sepsis and I use a cane for walking.
