I went in for a routine hysterectomy and 3 days later was rushed to the hospital completely altered. They had perforated a bowel while doing the surgery. (Sepsis and Surgery, Sepsis and Perforated Bowel) I spent 3 months in the hospital and then rehab. I’m still struggling with movement and speech and so much more. Every day is a struggle but I’m getting through it with my amazing support system.
