Becci Flanagan

Survivor

After a very short, perfect labour almost 6 years ago, I became seriously unwell. I was sent home from the hospital the same day feeling quite ill but my health got worse. 2 days later I went back in to hospital where I then spent 7 weeks in an induced coma after being diagnosed with sepsis.

I went in to multiple organ failure with septic shock. (Sepsis and Pregnancy & Childbirth) I spent a further 7 weeks in hospital being weaned off a ventilator even learning to sit and walk by myself again. I feel very lucky to still be here today.
