Sepsis Alliance Connect Discussion Topic: Self-Advocacy: Preparing for Your Doctor Visit

August 4 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

  • « Sponsored Webinar: From GI Infection to Sepsis: Advancing Detection and Surveillance with LIAISON PLEX®
  • Sepsis Alliance Connect: Moving Forward: The Role of Mental Health Therapy After Sepsis »

Date: August 4, 2026

Time: 8 PM ET/5 PM PT

Description:

Medical appointments can feel overwhelming, especially after sepsis. Preparing ahead of time can help survivors and care partners communicate concerns, ask important questions, and make the most of your time with your healthcare team.

Join this facilitated discussion to share experiences and learn practical preparation strategies for preparing for doctor visits, including how to organize your questions, record your symptoms, and advocate for the care you need. Connect with fellow survivors and caregivers in a supportive environment as you build confidence in navigating your healthcare journey.

Can’t join us virtually or want to get the conversation started early? Share your thoughts in the Topic of the Month post in the Sepsis Alliance Connect discussion board.

Facilitator:

Myrna Pair
