Scott Thornton

Scott Thornton’s business, branding and advertising stamp has marked many of the most successful global and national brands. Scott has held Director, Managing Partner, Executive Vice President and President positions at the global firms of Grey, Saatchi & Saatchi, CME, Bozell Worldwide, FCB Worldwide, BBDO and Omnicom. He played global board and operational roles in the merging of 10 multinational advertising firms while helping to establish and grow the advertising agency holding company model at Interpublic Group and Omnicom.

As Managing Partner of his firm, WHOLEBRAND, Scott is currently consulting PE firms in acquisition brand evaluation, global transportation companies on brand expansion, regional health systems on brand management, research & public policy firms on growth and expansion, universities on donor and brand improvement and consumer products brands on US entry, retail, e-Commerce, awareness, traffic and conversions.

Scott has a BA from Western Michigan University in Communications/Journalism and Political Science. He is a guest lecturer at Oakland University in the MHSA program where he conducts seminars in marketing strategy. Scott is on the board of the Wayne State University Physician Group, The Direct Marketing Association of Detroit, has held past board positions with BBDO Detroit, FCB Worldwide, Bozell Worldwide, The Red Cross of SE Michigan, The Michigan Boy Scouts of America and PALS International. He is formerly a committee member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and served on the Advisory Board of the Wayne State University School of Business Administration.

Scott is fortunate to be a sepsis survivor and uses his experience and knowledge of sepsis to promote awareness, early detection and cure related efforts.
