Marnie Doubek, MD, FAAFP, began her medical career in September 2000 after opening a private office providing quality primary care. She helped to build a successful, respected, family practice and became part of Atlantic Medical Group in 2013. Dr. Doubek is about to embark on a new journey as she opens a satellite to her current office near her home town where she hopes to be a real “town doc.”
In June 2014, Dr. Doubek found herself on the patient side of things. Her 11-year-old son, Zachary, developed severe sepsis due to an aggressive infection in his femur. Zachary survived, but Dr. Doubek recognized the need to raise awareness and recognition of sepsis both in the medical community and in the general population.
Dr. Doubek received her bachelor of arts from the University of Pennsylvania where she was captain of the gymnastics team. She attended medical school at SUNY Health Science Center, Brooklyn and graduated in 1997. She completed her residency in family medicine at Overlook Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program, Summit, NJ, where she was chief resident in her third year.
She lives in New Jersey with her husband, three sons, her dog and her cockatiel. When not working, she enjoys cross fit, healthy cooking and supporting her children in all of their various activities.
