Lenora Bell

Lenora Bell is a Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CPM) with 20 years of experience ranging from Business Services, Indirect & Direct Sourcing, Commercial Pharmaceuticals, and Commercial Consumer Products. She earned her Bachelor and Master Degrees from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).

Lenora founded the Cathy Mae Johnson-Lomnick Foundation (dba Cathy Lomnick Sepsis Foundation) in 2008 after two of her sisters battled sepsis. In 2007 while recovering in the hospital, her sister Linda contracted sepsis twice from an infection at her surgical incision site and survived. In 2008, also while recovering in the hospital, her sister Cathy contracted sepsis but did not survive. Lenora contacted founder of Sepsis Alliance Dr. Carl Flatley in 2008 to desperately learn more about sepsis…and so her work began.

Lenora is very passionate about the importance of telling the world about sepsis. She works to educate the community by participating in local health fairs, doing speaking engagements, and partnering with the University of Rochester Medical Center to create a sepsis awareness video. Lenora desires to one day produce impactful nationwide commercials that provide awareness about sepsis. Her dedication and drive led to a 3-year pursuit to book Celine Dion (Cathy’s favorite artist) for a charity concert in Rochester, NY. Lenora’s outreach has also extended to President and First Lady Obama. After receiving correspondence from the First Lady ,she was contacted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and introduced to Sepsis Alliance. She joins the Sepsis Alliance Advisory Board with great humility and appreciation.
