Erlinda Laska

Erlinda Laska, MPH, BSN, RN, LSSGB, is the child of a post-operative sepsis survivor; an experience that shaped her lifelong commitment to transforming healthcare. She has made it both a personal and professional mission to improve sepsis outcomes.

Over the past decade, Erlinda has developed sepsis programs across three healthcare systems in two states. Her work has included leading the first interdisciplinary sepsis simulation for one system, implementing the first sepsis-focused artificial intelligence solution for another, and, most recently, partnering with data scientists and machine learning engineers to develop AI-based solutions during the Duke Health Critical Care Datathon.

With a background spanning molecular biology, nursing, and public health, Erlinda has led initiatives in clinical care, program leadership, operations, and global advocacy. She brings a systems-level perspective that bridges C-suite priorities with frontline realities, focusing on workflow redesign, staff empowerment, and technology integration.

As a member of the Sepsis Alliance Advisory Board, Erlinda looks forward to leveraging her expertise and passion for advocacy to advance sepsis awareness and improve patient outcomes.
